Fawn Hunter is a descendant of the Washoe Tribe of NV & CA, Pyramid Lake Paiute, Pit River Paiute, and Duck Valley Shoshone Paiute Tribes. She has been working in the field of education for over fifteen years. She received her Associated of Arts in Criminal Justice, Bachelors of Science in Justice Studies, and Masters of Public Administration emphasis in Government and Policy. She currently work for Washoe County School District in the Family School-Partnerships department; as the Indian Education Coordinator. Fawn has served on various committees in service of families and students. She is currently the Chairwoman for the Indian Education Advisory Committee (IEAC). IEAC is an Advisory Committee that is under the Nevada Indian Commission Board. Her goal is to see Native American students have a successful educational experience.
