Maggie Folkers is an SEL Specialist for the Washoe County School District and holds National Board Certification in ELA/Adolescence and Young Adulthood. She taught middle and high school English for 27 years, 9 of which she co-taught World Cultures with an amazing social studies teacher. Passionate about helping all learners find their voice and agency, Maggie prioritizes connection, compassion and concern along with content.
